Justice Sanjay Dhar

Justice Sanjay Dhar was born at village Danow (Bogund), District Kulgam, received initial education in native village; did his Graduation in Science Subjects from S.P.College Srinagar and LL.B (Hon’s) from University of Kashmir; was enrolled as Advocate in the year 1990 and started practising law in District Courts and High Court at Delhi; was appointed as Civil Judge Jr.Division/Munsiff in year 1997 and promoted as District and Sessions Judge in year 2007; has served as Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu, Principal District and Sessions Judge of Rajouri, Leh and Kathua Districts; Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu; Presiding Officer MACT Jammu; Special Judge Anticorruption CBI Cases, Jammu;Registrar Vigilance and Registrar General High Court of Jammu and Kashmir. Appointed as Judge of the Common High Court for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh vide Notification No.K.13201/2019-US.II dated 03rd April, 2020 and took oath of office on 7th April, 2020.
