Her ladyship was born on 25th Day of June, 1970. After schooling from Guru Nanak School, Ranchi, her Ladyship pursued Bachelor of Science (Physics Honours Course) from Miranda House, Delhi University. She pursued L.L.B. degree (1992-95) from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University.

During her practice as an Advocate from 29th Day of November, 1995, she was leading cases in Civil side and from 1997 onwards, she focused on Taxation matters of which a number of cases have been reported in various law Journals. Considering her experience in the field of taxation, the State of Jharkhand, by way of special engagement, nominated her to represent the State in W.P.(T) No. 408 of 2013 with analogous cases challenging the provisions of Jharkhand Entertainment Tax Act, 2012. She has also represented Union of India in various tax matters after being appointed on 03th Day of March, 2015 as Central Government Counsel for appearing in Jharkhand High Court. She was in the panel of NBCC India Limited, a Government of India Enterprise and appeared for the company for tax matters. She was empanelled on 14th March, 2002 as an Advocate to represent Jharkhand High Court in various cases. Her ladyship was also a panel lawyer of Oriental Bank of Commerce, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, Union Bank and Allahabad Bank for a long time.

Her Ladyship was nominated as a Lady member of Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority. Her ladyship has participated in a project of Access to Justice by Poor and Disadvantaged people and has been appointed as Amicus in many PIL(s) on bonded labour and condition of toilets in educational institution/ college/ hostel. Her ladyship was also appointed as a member of Independent Committee to inquire into the complaint made by a student of National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) Ranchi in 2015. Her Ladyship was founder member of Jharkhand High Court Middle Income Group Legal Aid Society.

Her Ladyship has been elevated as a Judge of Jharkhand High Court on 06th January, 2018.

Her ladyship has decided a number of first appeals, second appeals, probate case, company petitions, arbitration matters including appointment of arbitrator(s), criminal matters including those related to Prevention of Corruption Act etc.

From June, 2020, her Ladyship is sitting in Division Bench dealing matters related to taxation as well as Commercial Appellate Division, matters arising from Central Administrative Tribunal etc.

The judgments of her ladyship have been reported in various law Journals.

Her Ladyship has attended the National Conference on Commercial Disputes (March 2018) and various National Judicial Conference for High Court Justices on the Regime of Goods and Service Tax at National Judicial Academy, Bhopal. Her Ladyship is also scheduled to attend the Webinar on this subject on 16th and 17th February, 2021.

She delivered a lecture in a webinar on the topic “grounds for setting aside Domestic Arbitral Award – from 1940 till date” organised by Jharkhand Legal Literacy Forum on 09.08.2020. She was a speaker at “The Rule of Law and Access to Justice in the Age of Uncertainty” on 17.06.2020.

Her ladyship is a member of Juvenile Justice Board formed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court and has done far reaching work in this field by visiting ‘Observation Homes’, Children Home, etc even in COVID -19 situation.
