Completed I.Sc. and B.Sc. from Stewart Science College, Cuttack.

Passed M.A. (Eng.) and M.A. (Oriya) - Privately - Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.

Passed LL.B. from The Law College, Cuttack.

Enrolled as an Advocate on 26.11.1989 under Orissa State Bar Council, Cuttack. He started Practice under the guidance of his father Late Sarat Chandra Sahoo, Advocate who is a renowned Criminal Law Practitioner & Dr. Manoranjan Panda, Advocate, a service and Constitutional Law expert.

Subject matter of practice : Criminal Law, Service Matter.

Place of Practice : Through out Odisha  in the District Courts, High Court, Consumer Forum, SAT, CAT.

Elevated as Judge of the Orissa High Court on 02.07.2014.
