Justice B.V.L.N. Chakravarthi
Born in the year 1964 to Dr.B.Paparaya Choudari and Smt. Vijaya Lakshmi, in an agricultural family of Kandulapalem Village in East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. Schooling at Elementary School and Zilla Praja Parishad High School at Tamarapalli and Gangavaram Village of East Godavari District upto 10th Standard. Intermediate at Ideal Junior College, Kakinada. Degree at B.V.K.Degree College, Visakhapatnam and Law from G.S.K.M Law College, Rajahmundry (affiliated to Andhra University).
Enrolled as an Advocate in the year 1988 and practiced at Kakinada Bar Association of East Godavari District. Joined the Office of Sri Velamakanni Subrahmanya Sarma and Sri V.V.Pandu Ranga Rao, Advocates, Kakinada. Actively practiced in Civil, Criminal and other branches of Law. Selected to the Judicial Service as District Munsif-Magistrate in the year 1994 and joined at Vijayawada. Subsequently, worked in various stations in different capacities in the combined State of Andhra Pradesh. Married to Smt. Rama Haritha and the couple blessed with a daughter Miss Vijaya Sai Manjusha.
Promoted as Senior Civil Judge in the year 2005, and worked at various stations, and appointed as Judge for the Special Court constituted for the Trial of case of M/s Satyam Computers, in the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad.
Selected by the Hon’ble E-Committee, Supreme Court of India as Master Trainer in ‘Ubuntu’ operating system to give training for Judicial Officers. Also selected as Master Trainer in “Case Information System [CIS] and also in Cyber Forensics and Cyber Laws” by the Hon’ble E-Committee, Supreme Court of India and underwent training in the above subjects at various places in India including National Judicial Academy [NJA], Bhopal and Sardhar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, conducted by Hon’ble E-Committee, Supreme Court of India.
Selected and trained as “Trainer of Trainers” [TOT] by the Hon’ble E-Committee, Supreme Court of India in the above subjects. Conducted several training programmes for Judicial Officers in the Common High Courts for the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala organized by the Hon’ble High Court, and Hon’ble E-Committee, Supreme Court of India on the subjects “Ubuntu Operating Systems, Case Information System [CIS] and Cyber Forensics”.
Promoted as District Judge in the year 2015 and worked as Special Judge, CBI Court at Hyderabad. In the year 2019 posted as Special Judge ACB at Vijayawada, and later, as Metropolitan Sessions Judge at Vijayawada and worked as such till appointed as Registrar (IT-cum-CPC) in the year 2020. Elevated as Additional Judge, High Court of Andhra Pradesh and sworn in on 04.08.2022.
