Justice P. V. Balakrishnan

Born on 23/03/1975 at Madras. Educated at St.Mary’s School, Ashok Nagar, Madras, St.Joseph School, Tellicherry, NSS School, Manjeri and Model Boys High School, Trichur. Pre-Degree from St.Alberts College, Ernakulam. Obtained Law degree from Kerala Law Academy Trivandrum and LLM from Cochin University, Ernakulam. Enrolled as an Advocate on 5/4/1999. Joined M/s Murikan and Mangot and commenced practice in various courts in Ernakulam District, including High Court. Dealt with cases in different branches of law, the area of prominent practice being Civil, Criminal, Writs and Motor Accident claims matters. Selected to Kerala State Higher Judicial Service and joined as Additional District and Sessions Judge VII, Thiruvananthapuram on 10.03.2014. Worked as Spl.Judge, SPE/CBI, Thiruvananthapauram, Addl. District & Sessions Judge IV, Kozhikode, Additional District & Sessions Judge-I Mavelikkara, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Kasaragod and Principal District Judge, Thiruvananthapuram. Sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Kerala on 30/10/2024.
