JUSTICE K. V. JAYAKUMAR
Born on 21st May 1973 at Chalakkudy in Thrissur district. Educated at M.A.M High School, Koratty and P.M. Government College, Chalakkudy. Obtained Law degree from Government Law College, Thrissur. Enrolled as an Advocate on 25.01.1998, joined the Chambers of his paternal uncle Adv.M.S.Kartha and commenced practice in Law in Thrissur Bar Association. Dealt with cases in different branches of law, the area of prominent practice being in civil and insurance matters. Joined as Additional District Judge, Thalassery from 01.12.2012 to 19.05.2015, served as Additional District & Sessions Judge, Palakkad from 20.05.2015 to 20.05.2018, served as Enquiry Commissioner and Special Judge (Vigilance), Kozhikode from 21.05.2018 to 29.11.2020, served as District & Sessions Judge, Thalassery from 30.11.2020 to 24.05.2021, served as District & Sessions Judge, Kollam from 25.05.2021 to 11.01.2022 and served as Registrar (Vigilance), High Court of Kerala from 12.01.2022 to 29.10.2024. Sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Kerala on 30.10.2024.
