Hon'ble Mr. Justice Mahavir Singh Chauhan
Born on 12.11.1953 in an agriculturist family in a very small village Kalalmajri of Ambala District. Passed matriculation from MRSD High School, Shahzadpur, District Ambala. Graduated from DAV College (Lahore) Ambala City. Served in Telephone Department for 8 years. Did L.L.B. while in service from Panjab University, Chandigarh. Joined practice at District Courts and High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh in the year 1983. Practised mainly on Civil, Rent, Service and Constitutional side. Selected as Additional District and Sessions Judge, in May, 1999. Served as Additional District Judge at various districts. Served as District and Sessions Judge from October 2007 to April, 2010 at Gurdaspur and at Sangrur from 6.4.2010 till elevation as Judge,High Court of Punjab and Haryana and took oath as such on 20th June,2013.
