Justice Rajesh Bhardwaj

His Lordship was born on 10.01.1966 in Village Barauli, District Panipat. Did his primary schooling from Government High School, Village Barauli, District Panipat. Upon his father’s transfer(who was serving in the Indian Army), the family shifted to Pune. He completed his school education from S.M Joshi Hindi Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Pune (then MRB Hindi High School) where he was awarded “Best Student of the School" in 1979. He secured degree of B.Sc. (Physics) from Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune in 1986. During college he was awarded NCC 'C' Certificate Senior Division from 3 MAH Air Sqn, Pune. He completed M.A. (Economics) from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in the year 1989. Thereafter, completed LL.B. in 1993 from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and LL.M. from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. He was awarded "Best Mooter" in All India Moot Court Competition and stood 2nd in All India Debate Competition organized by Law Department, Kurukshetra University.

He was enrolled as a member of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in 1993 and started practicing in the High Court of Punjab & Haryana, Chandigarh. He was appointed Assistant Advocate General, Haryana in 2000 and served there till 2005. Thereafter, from 2007 till his elevation as Additional Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, he served in the office of Advocate General, Punjab in various capacities i.e. Deputy Advocate General, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Additional Advocate General.

Elevated to the Bench as Additional Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court on 14.09.2020.
