JUSTICE SANJAY A. DESHMUKH

Born on 12th May 1967 at Kodoli, Tq. and District Satara. Completed the primary education in the Jivan Shikshan Shethi Shala at Kodoli, Tq. and District Satara and secondary education in Bhavani Vidya Mandir, Satara. Completed B.A.(Hons) from L.B.S. College Satara. Completed LL.B. from IMLC College, Satara and ranked in the Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Completed LL.M. from New Law College, Pune. Joined the Bar in the month of July 1993 and practiced as an advocate in Satara District Court. Conducted various Civil and Criminal matters.

Selected as District Judge directly from Bar and posted as the District Judge-3 at Parbhani in the year 2008. Served as Special Judge (MCOCA and NIA) at City Civil Court, Bombay. Served as the District Judge-1 at Darwha, District Yavatmal and at Gadhinglaj, District Kolhapur.

Posted as the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Bhandara since July 2017 to January 2021. Was posted as Secretary and Senior Legal Advisor to the Government of Maharashtra, Law and Judiciary Department in Mantralaya. In the July 2021, posted as the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pune. Elevated as Additional Judge of Bombay High Court w.e.f. 7th October, 2022.
