Born on 24th June, 1961 at village – Anantapur, Katwa, undivided Burdwan. Doing BSc, Spl B.A (English), LL.B. from Calcutta University succeeded in West Bengal Civil Service (Judicial) Examination, 1987 conducted by West Bengal Public Service Commission. Joined as Munsif on 28.11.1988. Served as Judicial Magistrate, Metropolitan Magistrate, Sub Divisional –Judicial Magistrate and Civil Judge (Senior Division) & Assistant Sessions Judge. Being promoted to Higher Judicial Service served as Additional District & Sessions Judge at different stations. Served as a Judge, West Bengal Industrial Tribunal and Registrar, West Bengal Human Rights Commission. Served as District & Sessions Judge, CoochBehar, District & Sessions Judge, North 24-Parganas, District & Sessions Judge, South 24-Parganas and the Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Calcutta. Served the High Court Registry as Registrar (Inspection- II), Registrar (Administration), and the Registrar General. Contributed poems and short story to different literary magazines of West Bengal. Contributed poems to udbodhan magazine founded by Swami Vivekanada. Authored Law Book in Bengali titled ‘Mohilader ain o aine adhikar’ (women’s laws and their legal rights) and poetry books titled ‘Neel Sagarer Dheu’ (waves of blue ocean) and ‘Hridayer duar kholo’ (Open your Heart). Translated poems of some noted Bengali poets in English version of the English poetry book titled ‘Poesie’. Elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court at Calcutta on 27.08.2021.
