Born on December 18, 1968 at village Beliachandi in the district of 24 Paraganas (South). Did his schooling from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur. Having his college education at Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration and graduated with Honours in Commerce from the University of Calcutta. Passed the M.Com. Examination from the University of Calcutta. Passed the LLB (5 years course) from the University of Calcutta. Enrolled as an Advocate on February 19, 2000. Practised mainly in civil and constitutional writ jurisdictions of the High Court at Calcutta. Elevated to the Bench as an Additional Judge of the High Court at Calcutta on February 12, 2019. Appointed as a Permanent Judge in the High Court at Calcutta on September 24, 2020.
