Justice Ravi Krishan Kapur

B.Com (Hons.) (Cal.), L.L.B. (Hons.) (Leeds), Barrister-at-Law. Born in a lawyer's family on October 5, 1971. Graduated from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta. Thereafter, graduated from the University of Leeds with an Honours Degree in Laws. Was called to the Bar in 1997 by the Hon'ble Society of Lincoln's Inn. Enrolled as an Advocate on November, 16th 1998 by the Bar Council of West Bengal. Was in continuous practise for approximately twenty years principally in the High Court at Calcutta. Also practised in different Courts in India as well as before diverse Tribunals including the Company Law Tribunal (Kolkata Bench as well as Principal Bench at New Delhi), B.I.F.R., A.A.F.I.R. and D.R.T. Practised primarily in Civil, Commercial, Company, Property, Arbitration, as well as in Constitutional Matters. Was elevated to the Bench of the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta as an Additional Judge on 12th March, 2018. Appointed as Permanent Judge of the Calcutta High Court on 12.02.2020
