Justice A.V. Ravindra Babu

Hon’ble Sri Justice Adusumalli Venkata Ravindra Babu was born in the year 1962 to Sri Adusumalli Raghava Rao (Late) and Smt. Seetharamamma in a middle class agricultural family of Thimmayapalem Village, Addanki Mandal of erstwhile Prakasam District and now in Bapatla District. Had his primary education in his native village. Completed his Secondary Education and Intermediate in Government Junior College, Addanki. Completed his graduation B.A., in Velidi Venkateswarlu and Mangamma (VVM) Degree College, Ongole (affiliated to Andhra University). Completed his Law Degree B.L., in Venkatagiri Rajah’s (VR) Law College, Nellore (affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University the only law college by then in the area of Sri Venkateswara University). Enrolled himself as Advocate on the Rolls of Bar Council of the combined State of Andhra Pradesh on 10.06.1988 and joined the office of Sri Muddana Ramaiah Chowdary (Late), Chirala, a leading Criminal Lawyer in Prakasam District. Practiced in Chirala up to December, 1991 and thereafter shifted his practice to Addanki, Prakasam District. Joined in the Judicial Service as Munsif Magistrate on 05.05.1994 and worked in the combined State of Andhra Pradesh at various stations. His Lordship while working as such in Hyderabad, did his LL.M., (Specialization in Torts and Crimes) by private study attaching himself with P.G. College of Law, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad (Affiliated to Osmania University). Got his promotion as Senior Civil Judge in the year 2005 and worked as such in the combined State of Andhra Pradesh at various stations. He was appointed as District and Sessions Judge, Entry Level, by way of accelerated promotion strictly on merit in the year 2012. Worked as Principal Family Court Judge, Visakhapatnam; later, worked as Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Visakhapatnam; I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Rajahmundry, East Godavari District; II Additional District Judge-cum-Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Vijayawada, Krishna District. Worked as Principal District Judge of Nellore, Chittoor and Guntur Districts. Appointed as Selection Grade District Judge with effect from 26.04.2017. Appointed as Super Time Scale District Judge with effect from 26.04.2020. Appointed as Registrar General, High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravathi in December, 2021 and worked as such till elevation as Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh. Sworn in as Permanent Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 04.08.2022. Married to Smt. Krishna Kumari and blessed with two daughters Ramya Sai and Kum.Mani Deepa.
