Justice Sophy Thomas

Born on 13th February 1963 to late Eluvichira Sri.Mathew Thomas and Smt.Elikutty Thomas. Graduated in Law from Govt. Law College, Ernakulam and obtained LLM from M.G University. Practiced in lower courts at Thodupuzha for 3 ½ years. Entered into judicial service as Judicial Magistrate of Second Class, Mavelikkara. Served as Judicial First Class Magistrate, Mavelikkara, Munsiff, Perumbavoor and Additional Munsiff, Thrissur. Served as Judicial First Class Magistrate at Vaikom and Vadakara. Posted as Additional Sub Judge, Ernakuam in 2005. Served as Sub Judge, Muvattupuzha and Addl. District and Sessions Judge (Special Additional Sessions Court for the trial of Marad cases), Kozhikode. Appointed as Judge of Family Court, Ettumanoor in 2011. Served as Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal and District and Sessions Judge at Alappuzha, Posted as District and Sessions Judge, Thrissur in 2018. Thereafter served as Registrar General of High Court of Kerala from 27.05.2020. Sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Kerala on 20th October 2021.
